# Gumboot Friday
 
> Free, fast access to qualified counselling for young people in Aotearoa New Zealand (available to anyone aged 25 and under). Initiative of the I Am Hope Foundation (charity CC44260). Donations go directly to counselling. Emergency? Call 111. Need to talk now? Text or call 1737 (24/7).
 
Important notes:
- Eligibility: anyone in NZ aged 25 or under.
- Service model: bridge to immediate help, not a long-term replacement for public services.
- Funding: typically one session per week from an initial two-session allocation; practitioners can request additional sessions.
- If you are in immediate danger, call 111. For free 24/7 support, text or call 1737.
